......This journal, published twice a year, is a vehicle of popularization for academic research composed predominantly of articles of original scientific investigation. In addition, other original and significant contributions will be welcomed (interviews, depositions, reviews and summaries) in the area of literacy of children, teenagers and adults in countries where Portuguese is the official language. Theast main objective of this is to share research and knowledge in this area with university students, elementary and high school teachers.
......Previously unpublished articles, which are pertinent to Portuguese-speaking countries, will be privileged, in order to make knowledge about education in such places accessible to a broader community with an interest in literacy.
......Finally, with the objective of establishing a dialogue among contributors and with the non-academic community, this journal features a "speak with us" space; through which, critiques, reviews, debates, among other messages, speak to a broader reading audience.
......The Electronic Magazine – “Welcoming the Literacy in the Countries of Portuguese Language" involves different units of the University of São Paulo (USP), several universities and national and international institutions, all with the objective of strengthening the three pillars that guide our practice: research, teaching and extension.
......This journal intends to reinvent by democratic parameters the links that historically unite countries of the Americas, Oceania, Asia, Africa and Europe. Each edition of this electronic publication will be composed by the sections listed below. Preference will be given to submissions written in Portuguese. In this instance, the official norms and rules of the country of origin of the text will be respected. We also accept works in Spanish, French, English and Italian.
